E4E Solar PV Project – Magna Academy Poole

E4E has just signed off the Solar PV installation at Magna Academy in Poole.  This is part of the Aspirations Academies Trust Energy Management Programme.

A total of 620 Solar Panels were installed at the Academy to add to an existing array that was installed when the new building as constructed a few years ago.

Magna Academy now generates just over 33% of the electricity it uses from the renewable technologies.  The systems generate just under 200,000 kWhs of clean and free electricity.

Installation Summary:

  • 155KWp generating an estimated 150,000 kWhs of clean electricity ever annum.
  • Estimated Year 1 savings of £ 12,336 based on current performance.
  • Estimated 20 year savings of £ 744,449.00.
  • Estimated total CO2 savings of 1,713,646 kg of CO2 over 20 years.

The system at Magna was installed by Sun Energy Group and financed by AFM.
